A federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential childcare institutions providing low-cost or free lunches to children each school day.

Older Adults

Farmers Market Vouchers – $50 vouchers to use at local farmers markets. You must:

  • be an Allegheny County resident
  • meet income guidelines (1-person household and get less than $26,973 per year or 2-person household and get less than $36,482 per year)
  • not be in an assisted living facility

Update: Voucher supply is running low.  The Area Agency on Aging has moved to a wait list on a first-come,  first-served basis which will include a mail in application process for any seniors who have not already received their vouchers.  Applications can be found here and are also available at your local senior center or by calling the SeniorLine at 412-350-5460.
