In Jail Support

Allegheny County Re-entry Program
provides support in jail and after with parenting classes, substance use issues, specific services for people with an intellectual disability diagnosis, PTSD and more. You may even be able to serve your time in a facility outside of the Jail.

Allison Park Church
a support group for family members and friends of people in prison.

supports children with a parent in jail.

Wesley Family Services
Reduced cost or free transportation for families to visit loved ones in the Allegheny County Jail or a state correctional facility. You can also speak to a counselor.

The Aleph Institute
provides Jewish inmates’ spiritual, educational, religious and advocacy needs, regardless of belief or denomination.

After Jail Support

Southwestern Pennsylvania Re-Entry Coalition (SPARC)
coordinates resources for individuals whose criminal record makes it tough to find jobs.

Foundation of Hope’s After Care Program
is an interfaith pre- and post-release adult reintegration program for inmates that seeks to ensure their successful return to the community. HOPE Aftercare provides re-entrants with material assistance, informational resources, referrals, and guidance regarding employment, housing, and other social services.
